Latest NewsTour PSNH's renewable energy plants with NHPRHave you ever wondered how water and wood are used to generate renewable energy?New Hampshire Public Radio recently wrapped-up its weeklong series, New Hampshire’s Energy Future, which was "devoted to alternative, renewable and sustainable energy." In addition to the radio content, the producers also put together multimedia tours of Smith Hydro and Northern Wood Power, two of PSNH's renewable energy plants. Each photo slideshow is accompanied by an audio tour from the plants' managers.PSNH’s Smith Hydro Station, a hydroelectric generation facility in Berlin, generates 17.4 megawatts of power. The five-minute guided tour is narrated by Bob Gunderson, manager of hydro for PSNH. Northern Wood Power is a 50 megawatt biomass plant at PSNH's Schiller Station in Portsmouth.
