It’s a “wall of fame” of PSNH line crews over the years, and Glenn Couture, supervisor of Training and Methods (pictured), is proud of the fact that, though off the beaten track, the road to field worker excellence at PSNH since 2006 has gone through this small community northeast of Concord.

An Ayers Island osprey

Ayers Island Osprey Doing Just Fine

Three osprey chicks were hatched and are being raised at the nest adjacent to the PSNH Ayers Island hydroelectric facility. The birds can be viewed on a streaming web camera.

This season marks the ninth year we’ve been watching the ospreys at Ayers Island. They first arrived in 2004 and, after getting settled in the first year, successfully raised the first two Ayers Island ospreys in 2005. Since then, a total of 16 ospreys have been born, making it one of the most productive nests in the Lakes Region.

Discover the Power of Parks!

The weather is warm, the kids are out of school, so it’s the perfect time to once again Discover the Power of Parks, presented by New Hampshire State Parks in collaboration with the Student Conservation Association (SCA), and made possible by financial support from PSNH. Programs include guided hikes, interpretive tours, and imaginative environmental workshops for children and families at Monadnock, Franconia Notch, Greenfield, and White Lake state parks.

PSNH Crews Help Restore Power to MidAtlantic

Linemen and support personnel from PSNH returned to the Granite State July 11 after working in brutally hot conditions for more than a week in Maryland and Pennsylvania. The 10 PSNH line workers, two mechanics and a supervisor helped restore power to customers of Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) who were impacted by a severe June 29 thunderstorm that knocked out power to more than 3 million homes and business in the Mid-Atlantic region. Before they returned home, the crews were redeployed to the area of Reading, Pennsylvania, to help customers of Med-Ed Co.
